Mission Statement
The Moapa valley FFA chapter is committed to empowering students to grow as leaders, build strong character,and achieve personal and career success through agricultural education. Our chapter strives to create a supportive environment where members develop teamwork,responsibility,integrity,and respect while gaining hands on experience in agriculture, leadership and community service. We believe in preparing students for the future by encouraging innovation , hard work,and life long learning. Through leadership opportunities, competieive events, service projects and agricutltual experiances, members are inspired to make a positive difference in our chapter,community and agricultal industry. The Moapa Valley FFA Chapter proudly upholds the values of dedication , service , and excellence while cultivating the next generation of leaders who will stregthen agriculture and contribute meaningfully to society.

Chapter PresidentRylan SproulRylan Sproul is 16 years old and a junior at Moapa Valley High School. He is an active member of the MV Barn Bums 4-H Club and the Moapa Valley FFA chapter. He previously served as a Greenhand Officer for his Greenhand FFA team and is currently on track to compete at the state level in multiple FFA competitions this March. Rylan shows market steers and is actively involved in both the Wrangler Junior Rodeo Association and the High School Rodeo Club in Logandale, Nevada. He also co-owns Shorty’s Happy Hooves with his dad, Shorty, where he enjoys working alongside him trimming and caring for cows and horses. Although Rylan once planned to become a water engineer, his growing involvement in agriculture and livestock has shifted his interests toward pursuing a career in the dairy or beef industry. His future plans include attending Farrier School at the Farriering College of Southern California to earn his official horseshoeing diploma. After graduating high school, he intends to continue his education at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he plans to earn a degree in Animal Science and work toward becoming a traveling dairy veterinarian and horse farrier.
Chapter Vice PresidentKamryn JohnsonKamryn is in her third year for FFA. She is currently serving at the 2026-2027 Moapa Valley Chapter Vice President. For her SAE Kamryn is raising a market lamb to show at the Clark County Fair and Rodeo. Kamryn competes in various CDE's and LDE's at Nevada State Convention and southern zone. This year and previous years at state convention she has competed in Horse evaluation, parliamentary procedure,conduct of chapter meetings and floral, placing 3rd with her team for parlimentary procedure.This year at state she is hoping to place for the POA. Not only will does compete in those competitions but Kamryn also partakes in Range land management. This summer at Summer Leadership Training she is also running for zone office. After high school Kamryn plans on running for state office as well as going to The University of Reno Nevada to get a degree in agriculture as well as a bachelors degree. Once she is finished with college she hopes to become an educator for Agriculture.
Chapter SecretaryRayceLayne SchraftRayceLayne is the 2026-2027 Moapa Valley FFA Chapter Secretary. In FFA she has participated in numerous CDE’s, like the Marketing Plan, Parliamentary Procedure, and Agricultural Sales. She has done multiple SAE’s which include a garden at her home and creating educational videos that promote agriculture procedures and news about the Moapa Valley Chapter. Outside of FFA RayceLayne is the captain for the Pirate Motion Dance team and loves to serve her school and community. After high school she plans to go on an 18 month mission for the LDS Church and then pursue a degree in biology as preparation for attending medical school.
Chapter HistorianPriseis RiderPriseis is serving as the 2026-2027 Moapa Valley FFA chapter historian. She is in her 3rd year of FFA. She competes in numberous compitions (CDE's) at state convention such as horse evaluation and floral. She also competes in range land managment. Priseis's SAE consist of raising a market goat which she shows at the clark county fair and rodeo and caring for her chickens at home. Outside of FFA she enjoys showing animals and working around her ranch. After highschool she plans on going to school for cop training.
Chapter TreasurerShelby CornwallShelby Cornwall is the 2026-2027 Moapa Valley FFA Chapter Treasurer. She enjoys participating in several LDE's and CDE's; of which her favorites are Ag Mech and Prepared Public Speaking. She enjoys participating in her SAE's which include the maintenance of Clark County Parks and Recreation Grounds and assisting in the care of various farm animals. After highschool she plans to attend UNR and pursue a degree in atmosphere science.
Chapter SentinelMacy TerrilMacy is in her fourth year of FFA. She is serving as the 2026-2027 chapter sentinel. For her SAE Macy is raising a market swine. She plans on competing in the marketing plan event as well as Ag sales at state this coming up year. After high school she would like to go into either hair school or early childhood education.
Chapter ReporterLyla Shakespear 
Area PresidentAddysen SherwoodAddysen is in her fourth year of FFA, she is the 2025-2026 chapter Vice president. Along with being the second year she is the Southern Zone president. For her SAE Addysen is raising a market lamb and a market steer. She plans on competing in Rangeland management and horse evaluation this year. After high school, Addysen plans on becoming a state officer following by joining the United States Marine Corps then becoming a Ag Teacher.
Area Vice PresidentAlexis ZinovitchAlexis is the 2025-2026 Moapa Valley FFA Chapter Secretary, she is also the 2025-2026 Southern Zone Vice President. In the FFA she enjoys competing in several CDEs, LDEs, and award areas. Her favorite CDE that she competes in is Veterany Science. She enjoys working with her several SAE's which include Market Swine, Market Goats, Breeding Boer Goats, Market Poultry, and Market Beef. Outside of FFA Alexis shows off her livestock at fairs and jackpots across Nevada and Arizona. After highschool she plans on attending SDSU for Large Livestock and Equine Veteranry sciance. She also plans to study livestock evaluation during her time at SDSU.
Area SecretaryRees ComeauRees is in his fourth year of FFA. He is the southern zone secretary. He plans on doing Welding and Landscaping/Nursery and Employability Skills. After high school Rees plans on serving a mission for the Church of Latter-day saints.
